About Me: Husband, Insurance Expert and State Farm Agent

Brandon Herndon

Born in Lansing, Michigan, Brandon Herndon lived in the frozen north until he was 13, then moved west with his family. In Las Vegas, Nevada, he excelled in high school football, basketball and baseball, earning three high school letters along the way. During college at Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he was a member of Alpha Phi fraternity, he became marketing Club President, participated in the Black Executive Exchange program and secured an internship at Adidas.

After graduating, Brandon worked for the Eli Lilly Company as a pharmaceutical sales representative for seven years until he had the realization that he was working very hard and making someone else a lot of money. He spoke with a friend who is a State Farm agent in Irving, Texas, and realized that being a State Farm agent was a winning situation for him. From his Houston office located at South Gessner and Bissonet, Brandon continues his mission to help people in the community by providing personalized insurance consultations, which affords his clients and other community members to really understand the purpose of the insurance they pay for.

Brandon is also very committed to earning a relationship with the community through charity and community involvement. After recruiting and training a competent team of professionals, he continues his mission by involving his office in local community and non-profit events, such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Childhood Obesity Awareness and Houston’s Summer Basketball Camp for youth.

Brandon and his wife, Latasha, live in Missouri City area where he mentors youth through Big Brother. Brandon is also a member of the National Sales Network, National Urban League and Volunteers Houston.

His current goals are to educate the community about proactive measures available to keep businesses, families and actions protected, to maintain close ties to the community by providing only the best expertise in insurance relations, and to serve the community that helps his business thrive. To continue these goals, his mission is to continue building an agency which encompasses compassion for humanity, professional expertise and trust throughout the community.
